K member & motor mount Q's October 11, 2007, 12:27:57 PM Well, I'm thinking since I'm replacing the frame rails on my cougar, to put in a tubular k member in. I know it seems like a waste, but in the future, I would like to put a 5.0 or 2.3t in place of the v6, and would like the weight/space savings of going tubular. (maybe a 3.8t ?)Anyways, I found this guy on eBay: http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZhstlermotorsports and he's about a 3hr drive from where I live, so I can go and pick it up.So... I would like to have my stock V6 motor mounts to work, but I don't know what year to get.I know I don't' want a 79'-93' mustang k member, because it's not as wide as my current k member, and I want to use SN95 control arms. So, do I want the 94'-95' - will it be the same width? If I do go with the 94'-95', will my stock motor mounts still work?Sorry for the long post, but I'm confused, and can't find the answers anywhere else I've looked. Quote Selected
K member & motor mount Q's Reply #1 – October 11, 2007, 01:11:36 PM Your stock mounts will not work with ANY of those listed. No 86-88 mounts (2.3, 3.8 or 5.0) will work. The 94-95 will have the closest width to your current set-up. Quote Selected
