How thick is the satin black paint on the '87 T-bird bumper?

Hello!
To make my story short... I was trying to get out from a big traffic jam and backed into some bushes
Now I have a few well visible scratches on the black part of rear bumper in my T-bird. I was just wondering if I could use some paint restorer to remove those scratches, but I'm not sure how thick is the black paint on my bumper, becouse some scratches are still better that the yellow plastic underneath :hick:
Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I use Krylon semi-flat (Or semi-gloss,whatever),to do my bumpers, and it works great.Just apply it in light coats like any other paint and you'll be fine.

Thanks for your input Vinnie! Thankfully it wasn't that badly scratched and some waxy paint restorer fixed it up :)
