Intakes Reply #1 – August 31, 2007, 07:19:54 PM I wouldn't bother moving to a street heat intake. If it was a track heat, then I would do it. It's up to you. If you are like me, you will probably change it just to have something different.Jim Quote Selected
Intakes Reply #2 – August 31, 2007, 09:10:11 PM I though that the Trick Flow intakes were cast in China as well. The only ones that I know of that are definatly made here are the Edelbrock intakes. Quote Selected
Intakes Reply #3 – September 01, 2007, 04:09:16 AM i got a holley system max2 works good but i kind of agree if it was a track heat take it but being a street heat take it if you want 2 and either way its better than stock. Also why the AFR 165s and not a set of 185s? Quote Selected
Intakes Reply #4 – September 01, 2007, 05:39:06 AM Good price on them.202 in the 185's valves will probably give me pvc issues. Quote Selected
Intakes Reply #5 – September 01, 2007, 07:42:10 AM The street heat does flow better by a few hp than the cobra(maybe 5hp or so) so not a huge upgrade. However i disagree with you guys on the track heat intake and 185's.It's to much head and intake for our cars, without a blower to fill them up the torque loss down low in our heavy cars would not be worth the time or money. Intakes Reply #7 – September 01, 2007, 01:01:25 PM Ok i got a holley system max2 e303 cam and i want 185s but i can get a set of 165s for $1000 installed if i just wait a little longer till this guy sells them and i soon may get a Paxton novi 2000 SC so i don't think it would run bad with 185s the only reason i even asked is i am not sure how soon i can get those AFR 165s. Intakes Reply #8 – September 01, 2007, 02:01:32 PM I was just stating that if he was looking to "upgrade", the street heat really wasn't a big upgrade, but the track heat would be.Jim Quote Selected
Intakes Reply #9 – September 01, 2007, 02:26:02 PM i would have to say if both intakes are cast in china then the trick flow is one hell of a china cast no flaws like the cobras i have seen posted. i can post up pics if youd want bc i have the street heat off my car still in the box Quote Selected

Properly tuned with a good cam and you could probably go even bigger on the heads. Seen what GM does with the LSx motors? Quote Selected
