3.8 engine.... would it be a waste? August 04, 2007, 01:13:07 AM So I have this 87 v-6 cougar... the body is pretty much shot on it, the tranny is shot and its just not worth fixing.However, it has a brand new engine with around 5,000 miles on it... like it got double digits on the Nox test... also put out no CO levels at all with a max of .85 possible on the emmisions test.I'm going to junk the car, but I'm curious if there is any way to get more out of it for the engine...Any idea's? or anyone want a brand new 84-87 3.8 v-6? I wish we had some extra cash, as it would fit in the 84 (as of right now we don't know how the engine is going to be that is in it). Just curious, how much would you want for it? Quote Selected

Reply #5 – August 04, 2007, 06:31:49 PM The car has two large dents on the top, looks like someone knocked over a telephone pole on top of it twice, the side rear window is busted out from when a car hit it right in front of the back wheel well, and both front fenders have large dents and the whole front end is torn up. just about the only thing good on the car is maybe the doors and maybe the back bumper. I would honestly guess the car has been wrecked at least 10 times. I bought it for $300 in that condition when my black car got towed and needed to get around town... Quote Selected
