Electric Automatic Overdrive not plugged in?? Reply #2 – June 28, 2007, 11:15:34 AM If it's an AOD, as it should be, the overdrive isn't electrically actuated. Quote Selected

Electric Automatic Overdrive not plugged in?? Reply #4 – June 29, 2007, 05:57:38 AM How many "detents" do you count from Park to Low?Might have stuck in a C4/C6 or something, or maybe the OD band on the "new" tranny is already completely shot. Quote Selected
Detents? Reply #5 – June 29, 2007, 10:17:13 AM Ok, upon further inspection and putzing around, i looked at the detent cable.....which was missing the brass grommet and clip....was still attached, but just barely....got the grommet an clip on now....nice and tight.....would turning the nut on the end of this detent cable cause any changes? Electric Automatic Overdrive not plugged in?? Reply #6 – June 29, 2007, 11:06:39 AM Thats not a nut, just a retainer with a hex crimp...Adjustment is made by unlocking the cable and adjusting length(Eric may have picts on Cool Cats)... I just adj for firm shifts... Main thing is you don't want it slipping... Quote Selected
