Heater control problem

The heater controls in my cougar are bad, so there is no heat. My question is what is needed to use the climate control setup out of a lincoln for the cougar.

Do you have auto climate control?  If so then I know a lot of the units are interchangable, you have to check the plugs on the back.

I have the entire car it came out of. I was wondering if there was anything special that needed to be done to make it work right and what needs to be pulled out of the car.

Is it electronic controls?  Regular ATC? (Slider with numbers on it) or what?  Heater systems aren't usually readily swappable, especially when it goes from EATC/ATC to Non-ATC.

It is all push button with a digital readout in the middle.

If your car doesn't have that same type (pushbutton) then you won't have an easy time making it work.  It uses electrical servos in place of the blend door cable as well as using many other temp sensors different places in the dash.  It's an expensive and tempermental system to work on.  Maybe consider the Taurus panel swap.

I thought about it and the other. I thought I might see how hard it was first because I have all the parts.
