Finally Some Progress on Suspension.

Just thought I would post a couple of pics of my progess today. Since I am completely rebuilding my car basically from the ground up.

All that remains before I get her on the road again is to rebuild the rear suspension and install my new motor and trans.

Cant wait to complete her !

Looking Nice!  While you have everything apart, i would suggest painting those calipers!  I just dont look right with everything else painted.  All in All though, looks very nice!

Sweet, looks like you did what I did (replaced everything). I didn't bother painting anything except the control arm, though...

Did you do any upgrades (11" brakes, poly bushings, larger sway bar, etc)? Or is it a stock rebuild?

Well, I did all poly bushings, Isolaters, greasable sway bar bushings and in fact it is all energy suspension stuff also it is the stock 1 5/16" TC sway bar. Basically a stock rebuild though.

I didnt paint the calipers or spindles because I havent decided whether or not I want to upgrade the brakes and all that stuff. But maybe I will just for the hell of it through some paint on the spindles, it was a little cold to paint today anyway, it was 40 degrees and my garage isnt heated.

Right now I just want to get it back on the road, its been down for almost 2 years and I miss driving her.

Thanks for the compliments too !

Can I ask what springs you're running?  I'm still at a loss for what to stuff into my own '85 car.

D'oh!  For some reason I didn't think they were stock just because they were red.

Very nice looking car!! Hope you get it put together soon so you can enjoy it. I feel your pain though about not being able to drive it for 2 yrs. Mines been a "Work in progress" now for 5 yrs. 3 of those were without a garage at all. Very nice work on cleaning and painting it.
