Big electrical NIGHTMARE

My Cougar was running perfectly (not really but in ran) until I went to leave a parking spot. It hesitated slightly while in Reverse. I then put it into drive and it hesitates twice within 10 feet. Then it dies to never run again. I knew I needed gas so I put 3 gallons in it but nothing. I checked voltages on the coil, checked spark from coil, from #1 plug, all fine. I just replaced the ignition switch and it starts only to die 2 seconds later. The starter runs, fuel pumps whines, injectors spit out fuel, spark plugs spark, and the engine cranks. I got a GP Sorensen ignition switch from Advance Auto (steered clear from Wells) and have made pretty much no progress.

Tried to pull codes and that doesn't work either. I hook up everything as usual with my test light and I just get a steady light and nothing else.

WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

FPR was the culprit. $20 and i'm rollin again

No longer electrical issue

There is some form of blockage (vapor lock) and it is maybe not providing enough fuel pressure to the injectors or maybe the injectors are blocked themselves.

I'll be carb hunting at the junkyard tomorrow. Anyone have a spare???????????

Ok... let me try and follow here.  You had  it fixed but now it's giving you problems again?  Your car's a 1985 so it's CFI, correct?  (TBI, whatever)  It's probably going to be easier and cheaper to fix the CFI problems than to convert to carb.

Just got in the habit of saying Carb even though I meant throttle body... oops. I'm gonna repost my issues in the appropriate section.
