lites out

hi  yall      my  daughters  84 cat[ she says  its the coolest  car ]  has  no low  beams    got all 4 lites  on high    flash  to pass works  no power on the low    did the  switches  both  of them    got them  new  cheap    didnt  fix  anything  so i was wondering if the  system  has a  relay  that i cant  find  or im totally  missing something  she says i gotta  fix it  cause i turn  wrenches for a living  and i do much more  than  just simple head lites all day long    yea  thats  her      she wants my 93  626    cause  my  lights work  its a stick and it  gets 30 plus mpg  so i gota  find out  what the  hell i missed  last nite  in the cold    cant seem to  find  much  on line about  wiring  diagrams  i have the wire chart in pdf  but shiznit  that is a pita

hey  88  i live  upstate ny    yea  she  said the lites went out last week at collage      they just  didnt work  on low

Almost seems too simple, but didja check the bulbs?

all 4 lites are on  with high beam  on            only  the outside  on for low  rite    no lites  with dimmer in low position

So did you check the bulbs? There are two elements in each of the outer bulbs, one for high and one for low. If the low beam elements burn out the lights will still come on with high beams.

Here's a wiring diagram to use if your bulbs are OK.

huge ass run on, bulbs seem unlikely cause all 4 wouldn't go out at once. seen stranger things though

I welcomed the dark side and currently am driving a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT plus, with a 5.9, Code named project "Night Runner"
Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.

no i didnt  ck  the the bulbs    guess i will have to look into that  this weekend  when  she gets  back    thanks  for the diagram    i never  noticed  how they  were configured  on this car  she  been driving it  for a yr  now  still  less than 100 k on  it    i picked it up  for 300      did  brakes alt  tires and tune up  need to  finish the doors  and she wants 15" mags  gota love it  car is older than  she  is

But all four didn't go out at once, only the two low beams did, which is not that uncommon, especially if one had been burned out but not noticed ;)
