Clutch cable broke... Help

My clutch cable is seized up or broken. It felt really strange (not smooth but almost like it was binding) before it popped off the quadrant. Anyway, I'm going to buy a new OEM cable. I already have a firewall adjuster and aluminum non adjustable quadrant.

My question is; do I need to move my brake booster or will the cable come out with out moving it? I hope the cable just pulls out of the adjuster but I dont know if there is enough room to make it past the brake booster.

If I do have to pull the booster out a bit to make room, does anyone know what would be involved in doing that?

Any help would be mucho appreciated! I only have a couple days before I have to be back at work.

It looks like you don't have full adjustment on that firewall adjuster with that booster in the way.  When I changed over to the 5 speed I changed the brake booster to a Mustang unit because it was smaller, and allowed full adjustment of the clutch with the firewall adjuster.  If you are goint to have to remove it to change the cable it would probably be a good idea to go to the junkyard and pick up a Mustang booster. The booster is kind of a pain to remove because the bolts are under the dash.

Screw the adjuster all the way in and the cable will come out past the booster.
