my engine update...opinions?

well not much has been done. Buddy has been building his engine dyno room!!! Which I'll probably use when my engine is done.

Engine info:
Formally a Explorer 5.0 with the GT40P heads.
will be bored out .030 over
rods reconditioned with larger ARP studs
ARP main cap bolts
Match port the heads
new pistons
*SIDE NOTE* He's having trouble separating the piston from rod, because of the skirt on the piston...any suggestions?
Edelbrock 600 cfm E-choke
Intake manifold...unknown SUGGESTIONS!!

make sure to check piston to valve clearance.  and make sure to buy the proper valve springs that match the cam.

and on the intake a weiand stealth or performer RPM.

will do...those actually were my thoughts on intakes

That cam may be a little much unless you feel like spinning the motor to about 7,000 RPM for power.  It'll make power past the 6,000 RPM advertised......hell the Stage 1 will go to about 6,000, I've heard the stage 2 makes peak around 65-6600.
