So I got pulled over......and didn't get a ticket

I thought you guys might find this funny. I was on my way to work today when a Chicago cop pulled me over. It was right after I passed an intersection near my house. I made a left turn and had the right of way off of a one way street that dead ended ahead of me (I had no stop sign) and the two way street had stop signs in both directions. I just happly rolled right through the intersection because I had the right of way. All of a sudden a police car with its lights on pulls me over. The cop comes up and asks me for my driver's license and insurance. I give it to him (all the time wondering why I got pulled over) and he walks around my car to make sure all my tags are current and my lights work. He comes back to the window and asks "Do you know why I pulled you over?" To which I reply "No sir I do not." He says "You ran a stop sign back there", to which I replied "Sir there is no stop sign where I went through the intersection". He looks back, turns red and says "Oh". He gives me my license and insurance card back and says "Have a nice day". He then gets in his car and drives off. I think this guy was new to my area and didn't know it well otherwise he wouldn't have made that mistake. It made my day though lol:grinno:

Funny, i have my own pull over story to share as well. i was going into sylvania Township at 1:36 am sunday morning (Going to a krogers out there). The cop says you know why i pulled you over son, no sir i reply. He says do you know what the speed limit is out here on monroe i say 40?. he says no 35 you were doing 55. 55 through a sharp cornor, the story gets better tho he did not have any radar. Im going to court tomrrow at 8:30 am to fight it.

So I got pulled over......and didn't get a ticket

That's great! I like a happy ending where cops are concerned. The way my luck is it would've gone something more like this:

"...I pulled you over for running the stop sign but since there is no stop sign I'll just let you off with just a ticket for... (fill in the blank)"

So I got pulled over......and didn't get a ticket

I quit going places with one of my friends. It seems as if the cops know when we are in the same car. We got pulled over for speeding once, once for tresspass (which was a bull shiznit), and several other times.

The only time I realy got luck like that was when I was 19 and driving the Bird. Cop pulled me over after following me for several miles in an unmarked Jeep. He asked for all the usual info which I had left in my work pants at work. So he goes to his car with my other info in hand and comes back. Tells me that I can go because he feels in the Christmas spirit. But then proceded to tell me he could give me tickets for:

Illegal lane usage
speeding
tailgating
wreckless driving
no insurance
no licence

So I was quite pleased when he let me go with a verbal warning.

So I got pulled over......and didn't get a ticket

I got screwed to the tune of $210 dollars last week. The cop says i was in a 30 mph zone i could have sworn it was a 40 in any case i was doing 53 and my tags had expired 13 days before i got pulled over. $150 speeding fine, $60 tags fine.
