Time for a Rant "Back stabbing friends"

So I got a message from a person I thought was a friend saying he wants to get out of the hotrod thing. So I ask him before he sells anything if I can have my gauges back. He says no if I want them I have to buy everything from him. Now this is a person I thought was a friend.

So I offerd to buy just the gauges yes I was going to give him money for something that was mine. He tells me again no I would have to buy everything. He also told me that if he didn't have somebody to buy everything he was going to put the stuff up on TF. Now I'm realy pissed at this point. Becasue I want my stuff back but don't need a TC rear axle, 2 TC motors or a rusted out notch stang. All I want is the 140mph Speedo that came out of a car that we split the price on. He was supposed to take the drive line and I was supposed to take the interior. But when he got the car to his house he started tearing into it before I showed up. Well certain things were gone when I got there. Like every last thing in the dash. I din't think anything of it I just figured that he was helping me pull the stuff out. Nope he told me that since he pulled the parts they were his.

Now in my eye those are mine not his we split the price. 50/50.

Ok I think I'm done now. If not I will be back to rant some more later.

Gotta say this is ironic, I know exactly how you feel. Had something like this happen to me really recently.

same here... only he blew up my turbo, offered to pay to replace it and then changed his mind cause "his truck needed insurance"

Shouldn't have let keep the cluster when he got it home if it was going to make you mad when he went to sell it.

But yeah, he is being a douche about not letting you buy it.

Hey, be glad it only cost you a $20 instrument cluster to find out your friend is a worthless $hitbag, I know several people that spent a loooooot more than that.

No he removed the stuff before I got to look at the car.
Plus with the 140mph speedo its more like a $300 cluster.

This was a while back but i had a "friend" that was entering into my house and stealing shiznit from me, the only way i found out about this was another friend saying hey man ____ had some shiznit that you said that you were missing. Low and behold yes it was mine, and a year later he gets busted in an acid bust at school havent talked since and dont really want to.

One thing I have learned is to never ever go in on a business deal with a friend whether it be for car parts or something else.

nothing good will come of it

I lost a friend a while back for something similar.

Yep,I had a friend like that.We went into "business" together.We were to gather car parts,inventory and sell them,split everything 50/50.People would pay,we'd ship,all is well.He was keeping the parts in his storage building.He locked the parts up,kept the money,and I couldn't get to them and had a lot of people pi$$ed becuase they weren't getting what they paid for.He's gone now,and I had to break into his building to get my stuff back,and it took forever to get things right with everyone.I went to E-bay and marked it down as a hard lesson learned.Sometimes the people you think you know the best,are the people you don't know at all.
