Changing springs/Struts

Okay, never tackled this task before and I was just wondering what it involved.  Can it be done without special tools.  Would you recommend doing it with no experience?  I'm fairly mechanincally inclined, I just don't have a lot of special tools or a huge garage to do my work in.

It is pretty easy. You just need a big socket to take off the bolts that connect the strut from the spindle. I don't remember what size it is but it was pretty good sized. I did my struts in about an hour in my driveway. To change the springs is just one little step further, just let the control arm drop and remove old spring and insert new. If they are lowering springs they are even easier to install.
