Title: Does anyone have 5.0L mustang accessory brackets
Post by: 88BlueBird on August 26, 2006, 09:16:51 PM
Do 87-93 5.0L mustang accessory brackets fit 5.0L '87-'88 T-birds/Cougars.  Are there any clearance problems to the frame, etc? Does anyone have this setup on their car? I know the p/s pump sits out further from the engine on the 5.0L mustang than compared to our cars.

They are on E-Bay all the time.I'm using the steering pump bracket and the FRPP a/c eliminator kit with no problems. The alternator bracket is the same as ours.I just removed the smog pump and associated smog equipment and called it good.I will eventually cut the smog part of the bracket off and smooth it all out, then polish it.Check the '86-93 Mustang accesories on E-bay.Brackets will be there. Are you changing your brackets,or starting from scratch?

Thanks for the info! I'm starting from scratch on my car. It was originally a V6 car. The engine I have is out of a '91 Lincoln Mark VII and I just found out the Mark VII's alternator bracket has wider mounting points for their 100A alt. I believe the a/c & p/s brackets are the same for both T-birds and Marks VII's.
