Title: Tornado Fuel Saver
Post by: Silencer on August 21, 2006, 05:28:07 PM
Has anyone ever tried one of those Tornado Fuel Savers on a 5.0CFI/TBI engine.
The commercial claims fuel saving and a tested extra 13HP on an 84 Ford 5.0 TBI (CFI).
Can anyone vouch for this claim first hand?

They're junk.  People have tested them to reveal decreased power, as it restricts air more than anything else.

i will reference the Popular mechanics story from a few months back.  They said that it creates turbulance in the intake which can actually cause a decrease in fuel economy and performance.  If i can find the magazine again i'll scan and post it but i think it got trashed.
