Title: Edelbrock rpm heads
Post by: 4mykid on August 08, 2006, 12:02:27 AM
I have had a set of Edelbrock Performer RPM heads with the 1.94 intake and 1.6 exhaust valves sitting in my garage for well over a year now just waiting for the rest of the parts and pieces to come together for  engine soup up time, I was initially going to go carb but have recently changed my tune, now my concern is such...will these heads being the RPM type still work for the fuel injection/HO swap w/mass air  that i have decided to use as they are the "non emision head" as apposed to just the performer head which is the emisions head? Help!:dunno:

Should be able to hook up all you fuel injection stuff. As for emissions look and see if they have to exhaust holes in the back of them to hook up your smog pump tubing. I think that’s the difference.

There are no holes in the side...so if i pitch the smog pump etc i should be OK? I guess i would just need a smog pump delete kit and i would be alright?

Yes but technically if you had to pass an emissions test you should fail due to the smog pump not on.
