Title: $1,000 for a mint 95 Mustang GT!
Post by: 1WLD BRD on August 05, 2006, 04:10:46 AM
I'm winning a no reserve auction on a '95 5.0L GT with 126Kmiles.  Check it out::tg:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=150018843875&ih=005&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBI%3AIT (http://"http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=150018843875&ih=005&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBI%3AIT")

What was it like crossing the border with your convertible Alex?  (fees, broker fees, taxes, duties?)

Edit: added a "K" in the miles just to make everyones life simpler ;)

Sorry, forgot, you guys wouldn't automatically assume I meant that.  Do you honestly think some bone head would put a N/R auction up on a car with that low mileage?  AND that I would be winning it for a grand?!?!:rollin:  It aint me that needs the sleep dude.:giggle:

That assumes everyone here likes SN-95s, and/or can afford to bid on one. :p

Good luck on taking that car from me guys.  I have always loved that body style, and I AINT losing that auction.  My proxy bid should deter most, and still let me win it.

Are you an idiot? First you advertise an auction 5 days before it ends and then say you will do anything to win it. Im guessing you dont mind wasting money because if you would keep your mouth shut about it, you would probably save money.

And you must use the word "mint" very loosely...

Good luck and happy bidding. :flame:

so....  whats it to you if i do waste my money?  is it yours to lose?

expain what you see wrong with it.  compared to the stangs around here.....  it's mint.  trust me.  besides, I did save money, i decided (with the wifes help LOL:nono: :yuck: ) I dont need another car in the drive, I have 5 now.  so I have let it go.  oh well.  :hick: there will be more

RJ, it does look very good considering the mileage.  Plus, if you consider the 'national average' for mileage, of 12k a year, it's still under that mark.

It might be better to wait till the auction is closer to the end to bid on certain items, but it seems like cars, unless the starting bid is outrageous, usually get bid up almost as soon as they go up.

you realy have to be carefull when bidding on cars anyway. pics can be very deceiving on the internet, as specially when someon is selling a car. sure it looks nice, but you never know whats been touched up and what not. i would have to see a ton of pics, video and have a few good conversations with the seller.

I had a 94' Convertible GT before the mach1. They are slow, small, and with that many miles, it might look nice, but I sure wouldn't get to excited about em'. The breaks on my 94' were about worthless, yes, you could update them, but mine, even with the ABS were terrible and slid a bit in dry weather on a very fast stop. The car is also scary in bad weather, very scary.
I like the body style too, but they aren't made as well as the next body style before they made the 05's.
Of course, if that is what you want, you aught to do allot of shopping. You'll most likely find one in better shape and condition for a decent price. Search auto trader, go on some mustang forums and so forth. Try not to be in a hurry, since there are plenty of them out there in good condition still. I see them in perfect shape from time to time, but then, they usually want way too much.

I got my cougar on ebay. When i bought it, it looked amazing in the pics. Shiny midnight blue. No evidence of rust. Well I got there and the sucker had no clearcoast, rusted everything. Pics are deceitful sometimes.

But good luck on the auction. I like the sn95 mustangs. They aren't an eyesore. So if i had the extra money i'd go for it. But I dont. THat's why i drive a cougar and not a stang.
