$5700 and the reserve isn't met? I'm afraid this guy wants $10k or something.

While the car is beautiful, I just couldn't do a white car with a red interior.:yuck:

no offense to those of you who have one....

That car looks almost showroom quality. For something that solid, I can forgive it for having completely the wrong colors inside and out. :p

Now deep jewel green with a tan interior.. that would be what I'd wanna see on that car.

nice car, even for white/red. I'd hit it!
One thing though, does it REALLY have dr. side airbag? I didn't think Ford cars got em till around '91?

Probably an error on the part of the person entering the info. I think Marks got airbags for either 90-92 or 91-92. My 89 doesn't have one.

If it does have an airbag it's a miracle in packaging, as they've managed to fit an airbag into the horn button of a typical late 80's Lincoln steering wheel

That deep jewel green Mark gave me some inspiration. Now I think if I did that Fairmont project, I would do it in that same paint scheme (DJG top, tan bottom) and with a tan velour interior. (and still use the black wheels I wanna use.. maybe black out most of the chrome on the rest of the car) That other Mark must look even better in person than it does in the picture, because I've found that it's generally pretty difficult to take a picture that makes dark green look good.. but that picture manages it well enough.

The Mark from my original post is up to $6,800 as of this post. I still maintain that IF I had the money to *spare*, I would pay that kind of money for that car. It's  near buying a new car, minus the warranty. Ideally I'd keep that unmodified (except for routine maintenance, obviously) and in a garage and drive it once a week, and drive my current and someday modified '89 Mark every other day of the week. That way I could experience what the car once was, AND what it could be.
