Title: Need fox mustang struts....
Post by: bduly on July 31, 2006, 04:38:13 AM
I have gone through two sets of stock struts and I'm certain it is due to my lowering springs. I have decided to try out some fox mustang struts in hopes that the shorter length will work better with the lowering springs. Should I just go with some KYB GR-2 or monroe replacement struts for 89-93 mustangs or should i try to find some used koni struts? Any additional thoughts or tips would be great as I am planning to take care of this within the next two weeks. Thanks.

Well, it depends on how much you want to spend really.  The KYBs and Monroes are OK, but they don't hold a candle to Konis or Bilsteins.
I would actually recommend the Bilsteins over the Koni reds for general street performance use.  Yeah they are non-adjustable, but offer a better ride and are suited to some pretty stiff rates as well.  They are about the same price as Konis IIRC

Stang struts are a bit shorter, but usually work with very little problems...
