hey i have a 5.0 t bird that was single exhaust and i want to mak emy car duel exhaust , im not so familiar with the exhaust systems, i just bought a mustang magnaflow exhaust system http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10002&catalogIdentifier=Jegs_Direct&categoryId=27721&parentCategoryId=10249
but my question is that, to complete the magnaflow exhaust system i bought , do i need an h pipe so it can reach the bbk shorty headers on my engine??? please help me out i really need it
thanks
Buy this (http://"http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=PSM%2D82%2D1110&N=700+115&autoview=sku") H-pipe.
yeah but dont i need 2 converters??? and wat else???
any H-pipe for a fox body mustang will work, be it with or without cats. if you have to pass emmissions, get the one with the 2 high flow cats. if not, get the one without. after that your going to have to get some measurments and lengthen the cat back flow tubes (tubes before the ler) like 6" or so. then, your going to need the tail pipes lenthened almost a foot. your also going to need hangers welded onto your car for a mustang, or have ones modified or made for your car, im sure you can figure something out tho, if not, get it situated and take it to an exhaust shop and have em button it up.
WOW, steppin right up to the good stuff i see. sweet...
;)
The tailpipe lengthening isn't nessecary with that kit. Ask cougarman. I've seen it with my own two eyes. :D
I have a question with the magnaflow system i bought, say i buy an off road h pipe, do i need to have 2 cat converters???? or can it be just the pipe???
The only reason you would NEED the cats is if you have emissions testing or destroying the environment is a-ok in your book. :D
lol true true well jea i gues i need them badly cause i live in ny
BAH! phoney emissions test ;)
lol your tellin me
