does anyone know how much motors mounts for a 1987 3.8L Thunderbird would cost? im tired of having a badass sounding exhaust and then hearing a loud scratching noise
Car Quest sells some solid motor mounts for about $50. The regular ones are about $15 more.

wtf? its not the motor mounts. its the transmission mounts someguy said and that sounds more reasonable bcuz everytime i reach the top of each gear it scratches
did "someguy" look at it, and actually see what is makin this scratchin' sound, or is he a parts-store "diagnoser"?
What I'd do is safely lift the car, and use a small jack to barely lift the engine, then the tranny, to see if your mounts are bad...
Then if they check out, I'd look into the exhaust rubbing on something, or something on it...
