Stuck home, I go on Vacation tomorow and it would have been worthless to try and make my car drive that far. Oh well I got parts ready for it. I'll be out of state, and missing my car for a week. Dont feel lonely guys, we all hate not going.

Sooooo.....let me get this straight...you're a mere 15 miles from a national all-Cougar and T-Bird show, where everyone is practically coming to your doorstep...and you don't show up because your car isn't running?

Royce made it from Texas.
Nick made it from Florida.
Shannon made it from Minnesota.
Several people that don't even have Cougars or T-Birds anymore showed up. One was from New Jersey.

And you can't drive 15 miles to hang out with us?
Lame...

Yeah, I am a member of both, no I haven't been to any meets though I want to go. Being broke sucks an awful lot. I am going to make it to next catjam, already starting to save for it, and I am also trying to fix the truck, nothing like a couple projects and no money :D.

Actually, it isn't, 4.0 is better, and then there is the 302 swap.

The 2.9 is okay, it is the A4LD that makes the engin suck!

The 2.9 is a good motor... and yes your correct the a4ld is a bad transmission... thats why my truck got a 5 speed swap with the mitsu tranny... not the mazda tranny.

My bro had a 90-91 ranger 2wd aod and the 2.9, that lil truck used to motor pretty good from what I remember till the trans went..

What about the 2.3T swap?
BTW, I'm a member at RPS, been thinking about signing up at TRS also.

I wasnt able to go to CatJam because well, I forgot about it to tell ya the truth. Its like not having a 'bird anymore made me lose part of my memory or something.lol

Well, beyond dealing with family issues, I did the following...

1. Planned the new interior for the '86... that's going to be cool
2. Gave my dad's Ram a brake job
3. Played around with the Fairlane and tried to start it only to find that it's not getting any fuel. She'll fire if I dump it in the carb though.:hick:
4. slept
5. Sold off my beloved '76 Camaro  *tear, tear... okay I'm over it..
6. slept
7. slept

I've had off since last Tuesday and today is my first day back to work. Nice little week off despite not going to Cat Jam.

Well I got a 2wd Ranger with a carbed 2.0, I dont think it would do a whole lot. lol

Actually there about three 2wd off roaders there, just hit the puddles going fast and you shouldn't have a problem! lol

What trans do you have? If it is the mitsu 4x4 then you can do what ever you want, if it is the toyo then you SOL.

Moms 87 has the toyo and can't do , dads old 87 had the mitsu and was pulling trees out the ground, with a carbed 2.0.
