Just wondering what exhaust everyone with 4cyl Turbos are running?

Most people seem to like the 3" with a stright through ler. Most even tell you to get ride of the cat. One your model it shoudl have duals witch it much better than the earlier style. unless you've upgraded it to the 3". Lots of people like to run a single 3" and dump it in front of the pass side tire or in front of the rear axel.  I'm runnin somthing close to the factory style I just had it smoothed out when they put in the new cat. No more 90* bends for me.

With a turbo you want as little restriction as possible. I'm goin 2.5" no cats on my 1.0l

3" no cat to dynomax 3" bullet and turn down < what was on my t/c

3" downpipe 3" test pipe with dump 3" dynomax superflow 3" tailpipe < on my 87 regal T

you want little restriction on the exhaust.

I have one of stinger's "prototype" 3" Turbo Coupe exhaust that splits into dual 2 1/2"...and being that it is a prototype, it kinda sucks because he built it off a mustang and just made the flow tubes longer, so you can only raise the lers up so far before the Y-pipe is against the driveshaft with the suspension at full droop.

Oh, and I have Hooker Maximum Flow lers and Flowmaster Mustang LX tailpipes (2 1/2"), lengthened of course.

On the 87 is has the cat and no lers on the stock diameter pipes. Doesn't sound too shabby either.

I used a 2.5" Dynamax dual system for Mustangs (GT), '93 and earlier ($299), available from Summit Racing and others. I also used the long (86 SVO) down pipe from Sacremento-Mustang ($139 + shipping). A 3" hi flow cat converter (Catco from Summit - about $60). I had an shop install it for me. They made up a 3" to Dual 2.5" Y pipe for it. Since the TC's are longer than the Mustangs the Dynamax system come up short behind the rear axles. This is easily remedied with some 2.5" diameter pipe. I used stainless steel which I polished myself. Looks great.
The sound is very quiet. Just a small touch of throaty sound. You
have to stand behind the car to really notice it. I did not want
something loud.
