well, its final, i have a buyer for the car, he's coming down tomorrow to get it, he's a hardcore turbo enthusiast, he's had 7 GLH's, a few other dodges, has spare engines, trannies, all that
turns out, his plans for my car are the similar to what i wanted to do to it, so thats pretty badass
im going to be sad to see it go, but its going to a good home
GLH's are F*cking awesome
and rare
Busy weekend, eh Shawn?
:D
I don't think I've ever seen a GLH in person, but I heard they were problematic?
the GLH isnt very rare, thats just the turbo omni, the GLHS on the other hand is the version Shelby had his hand in
they arnt very problematic, but they like to rust, and driving those cars is like driving a tin can, they rattle, lots of road noise, not much for sound deadening, but theyre quick, and they handle great
GLH = Goes Like Hell.
True story.
GHLS-Goes Like Hell Somemore...also true story
Here in toledo they be rare
anybody have any pics of these cars, I've never saw one either...
Ist it pretty much just a VW rabbit with a 2.2L turbo?
someone i knew had one for sale and i was gonan buy it when i had the extra cash but he ended up letting someone elts use it before i could buy it.
Here's one...
Except for the fact that it's a Dodge ....but yes, you are very aware where the design came from when you look at them both side by side....
hell, the 2.2L is actually very similar in design to the VW 1.7L, and i believe the early omni/chargers got some VW 1.7L 4 bangers
Congrats on the sell.
I don't think I'll ever find a buyer for mine. :P
so then, those are different from the omni/horizon, right?
when I was little, the folks had an omni TC/6, if i remember right, and seems as if it had a turbo, did have a manual tranny, as well...
anybody ever hear of one of these, or do I just have the wrong number, lol
ps, it was a 2 door, and had some kinda "aero" lookin' front end on it, recessed (kinda-sorta)
headlights, like an 80's Slowmaro...
You mean like this...
there was the charger/duster that looked like that one cougarman posted, and the earlier omnis/horizon had an 029 or something like that which was basically the same thing as the charger/duster
yep cougarman, that's one of em, thanks, lol
i was like 12 when mom got rid of that thing, it had been all over missouri, from up here in the north, to south of srpringfield-couldnt tell ya how many miles it had, but it ran great when they got rid of it...
