Title: Spark issue when warm - TFI replaced
Post by: amooset on July 02, 2006, 03:39:12 PM
The car has been doing this for awhile now, it will die whenever it gets up to operating temp.  I assumed it was the TFI, so I replaced it.  It is doing the same thing all over again even after getting a new TFI.  What else could this be?

Might be the PIP in the distributor?:dunno: I had similar issues with my 87 sport, and replaced the dist. all together and fixed the problem.

Would a bad coil cause this problem?

Possible, but my bet is the PIP.... Been there and have the T-shirt as well...
