My dad had a Ford Galaxie 71. That car has a 427 PI. He says that the car had thunderbird electric individual seats. It Was from canada (i dont have idea how he got it....).He says that in the mid 80´s he was still driving this car and won many street races races in the road vs newer grand marquis, caprices, montecarlos, cheyenes, crown victorias, even camaros...He says that the car can raises the 220 KM in the speedometer in the highway. It Was Nice car.....

See below. :D
My fastest car was a beat-up '92 Taurus SHO that I bought for $850. Had 120k miles, had never had the routine valve service done. Ran it up to 130 mph on two occasions. A REAL shame I never got into any street races with it because the hood and the one fender different colors so it looked like a real hunk of junk... until the engine hit 3k RPM. After I had it about 5 months the tranny went out and I sold it for $500. Not bad, really, $350 for a 5-month joyride rental, is the way I look at it. If I ever get rich, and can afford to maintain it, I'll buy one again.
Basically looked just like this, minus the matching hood and PS fender, this is someone elses car:

my tbird is the fastest car I've had. pretty sad huh?
first car was a late 80s el camino, engine was blown so we were gonna swap it out, but after 2 days in the driveway, the neighbors complained to the city and made us tow it away. these are the same neighbors who put their garbage cans as close to our property line as possible, and I end up putting them on the opposite side of their yard, cuz they NEVER have any cars parked out front, and I always park out front. theres a tree on one side of our yard, and a billion little birds flock into the tree and shiznit on my car.
anyways, then I got a '71 240Z with an engine from a 280Z, converted to dual carbs. that thing probably would have been pretty quick, but there were electrical gremlins and way too much stuff to fix and I was only 15 with no job, so we had to get rid of that.
then I got a 95 Neon...yeah
then an 88 Mazda 626...yeah
then my Tbird, and here I am
My cougar since its the only car i have owned
One of these, but white.. and with the V6.
131 mph on a 40-ish degree night, with one other person in the car. 126 mph every other time I tried to push it.
1969 Mercury Cyclone with the 428SCJ ram air package. Car was built for a Ford exec, had a super thin body, you could flex the metal back and forth. Caught a few "chebbies" off gaurd with that one!! :ies: :ies:
My fastest car was also my first car: A 1978 Trans Am with a 1970 LT1 engine. The car was ugly as hell with its rotted out and badly bondo'd quarters, ripped up vinyl seats and no carpet, but that thing would flat out move. It had an automatic and would haul 55MPH in first gear, 90 in second, and I had it up to 140 (as indicated on the 160MPH speedo) in third before running out of straightaway and chickening out. The car still felt like it had plenty of speed in it, but I didn't.
I called that car "Bertha" because of her ugly-but-tough nature, She was not without her quirks. Aside from the rotted out body, missing carpet and torn seats she also had a stretched shifter cable, thus making it impossible to put in park or low (when the shifter was in P the tranny was in R, and when the shifter was in L the tranny was in 2). Since the LT1 had come from a 4-speed car there were no kickdown provisions, so you had to do it manually. You had to use the parking brake to park, and it would only stop the car from rolling forward, so you had to park facing downhill. To activate the horn you had to touch a wire to the steering wheel which almost always resulted in getting a shock (did you know that when you disconnect power from a relay it acts like a mini ignition coil and can jolt you with several hundred volts? Neither did I), and the doors were pr0ne to swinging open any old time they felt like it. I bought her for $600 and sold her two years later for $1300.
Still, I loved that car. You only ever have one first car, and ol' Bertha will always have a special place in my memories. Someday I'll have another '78 Trans Am to keep my T-Bird company...
fastest car ive owned...well, its the 87 TC i just got, first 5-speed car ive owned, first car ive owned with over 150hp, but not the first turbo car
in a very close second place is the dodge, the car isnt much slower than the TC, its actually very close in speed in all actualality, they supposivly ran similar track times, and it wouldnt suprise me seeing the car weighed about 2,800 pounds
The fastest car I've ever owned was my 1990 XR7. It had a Flowmaster exhaust system on it and was lowered 2" all around. For a 3800 lb. car it would haul ass. I loved driving that car.

my lincoln mark viii. had a 175 hp nos setup. "hotrod lincoln" was good for an avarage of 183 on the salt flats. this was a stock 93 mark viii save for they built the engine using balanced production parts, took off the wipers and i think mirrors, taped up the nose, installed an rpm extender and dropped the suspension manually. i have no idea how fast mine was. we just beat the snot out of it.
My 1990 Cougar XR7
Hard to say about the fastest, But the quickest was my 1987 Buick Grand national, Low 11 sec car, but over all the fastest and quickest car I ever owned was my 1989 20th Anniv Turbo Trans AM:

The fastest car that i have ever owned.....
It would have to be my 1989 Chrysler Conquest TSi w/ a 2.6L Turbo, and a 5-speed tranny. That car would move. One day i'm goin to own one again.

unfortunatly my fastest car is my current 02 grand am with the ram air 3400. best time of a 1/4 mile was a 15.3 that just pulled 0.6 second ahead of my tbird.
i would post a pic, but as some of you know, i cant get it formatted correctly
88KSXR7: My buddy has an 88 GTA that looks almost identical to you turbo T/A, for a moment, i thought my buddy was trolling on this board
My fastest Car: I had a 2000 Mustang GT Convertable with 2.5 magnaflow exhuast magnaflow cats with off road h-pipe and magnaflow "magnapack muflers" and BBK headers. It was also the loudest best sounding car I have ever had. It also had a custom jet computer chip, high-po sparks and wires, kn filter, and cooper cobra tires. It was dynoed at over 320HP
