I have spoogeo tires on my bird 245-45-17 and they have been good so far, i good buddy of mine ran at least 35000km with the ones he had on his Mustang before he sold the wheels they were on and they still looked pretty good then! No flats or rebalancing etc. I think they are a heck of a bargain when you start comparing tire prices. It doesnt hurt so much when you leave 1000km piles of rubber laying around from burnouts on a regular basis. I wouldnt hesitate.

good tires, had a set on my 80, never had a problem, and the snow tires kicked ass in the winter. A million times better than canadian tire tires...

Theyre the tire size Width/Height/Rim If you look on your tires sidewall it'll tell you what your current size is.

cougar 86:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=kilometer+to+mile&btnG=Search

And tires are done the same way here as in Canada from what I've seen, metric tread and sidewall with English rim size:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=46

Better at least learn to deal with the metric system in some kind of way, you are not isolated from it and will have to use it more and more as the years go by.  Don't be ignorant, it's not that hard to figure out.

Khumo makes alot of good race tires and does a fair amount of performance tire stuff as well.

What size are you looking for?  What type of use?  I like Sumintomos for my daily drivers.  Decent tires at a decent price.

Personally, I don't buy any tires but spoogeho. Ive been running them for years on mini-trucks, compacts, & a camaro. They wear very good. I prefer the 712 over the 711. Right now I have 711's on my cavalier. But either of those performance tires are great.

It's so easy to figure out it's ridiculous.

1.)  Go to http://WWW.GOOGLE.COM
2.)  In the search bar type this: 35000km in Miles
3.)  Google's super-smart computer-brain will realize you're asking for a conversion.  The next page displayed will give you your answer.

Stupid every-other-country-in-the-world using some stupid metric system that's based on 10's... that will never catch on.

If I sound like I'm 102 maybe it's because I can spell and perform basic math.  Seems you always have a little attitude every time you post too.  I appreciate the fact that you want to learn about your car and want to do things to it to make your own.  That's why we're all here.  You could slow down a little when you type and maybe learn how to multiply kilometers by 0.62 to get miles......

A 235 tire is fine.  It's what I use.  On a car you're talkin about driving in rain and snow I feel a 2 inch drop is extreme.

I have Kuhmo 711's  Cheapest ass tire I could buy.  I love them.

245/55/16 is too big anyway.

245/50/16 is a perfect plus zero tire

I am lowered about 2 inches. and I want it a tad higher.

Of course, I had a good experience with spoogeho tires, i was using a 235 65 14, very good, bought at sears , i dont know how i got rid of these tires...........mmm. yeah, dad totaled the car....

If you are planning to buy new tires, check Pirellli or Michelin too, those are pretty good....

Ahhh, learning something new every day...

1 minim (min) = 61.612 µL
61 677.8 * 61.612 ul = 3 800 092.61 , this is for the 3.8 L ?

1 firkin = 40.9148269 liters
.14499*40.9148269 = 5.9321    mmmm...i dont know how to get it. Correct this to me...

The jacks, took me more time, ill give a try...

Jigger X 2 = the Jack or Jackpot (sometimes a double jigger)

Mouthful  X 2 = Jigger (The common bartender jigger is not one ounce, but 1.5 ounce)

Mouthful    =  about ½ Ounce

1 fluid ounce    = 0.028413 0625 l

ok, here we go...

the half of an ounce, estimated: 0.028413 0625 liters / 2 =
mouthful 0.0142

Jigger = 0.0284 (limited to four digits after the point)

Jackpot = 0.0284*2 = 0.0568

38.886 Jackpots * 0.0568 = 2.2087 liter.....i gues this is for the 2.3 liters...

EDIT

hey, there are 2 definitions about firkins, let me try again...

Firkin = 9 gallons, 34.069 liters

.14499 Firkins * 34.099 l = 4.936 liters..... yeah, this is the 5 liter engine...

michelin and Pirelli are expensive and i am broke but every set of Michelins my dad has had have been great. i reall what to know what tread pattern youll think would be best

i dont have an attitude everytime i post but when you get ripped on about stupid shiznit for 2 pages it gets old if some one could  have told me haw to do it i would have. but no one did  and i dont remember. you are reading this in what ever tone you  pick so if i have an attitude or am just been a 16 year old smart ass is the decision you make  in you mind when you see my name at the top of the post. its in your head if i have an attitude or not. is it that big of a deal?

That blackjack guy is like 16 and he doesn't have a problem with posting with good grammar....

With your old cougar you don't have to worry about tread pattern.  Your car cannot take advantage of the benefits each tire has over each other... just buy the 711's as they are cheap.... plus they have a shagy directional pattern that gives me a wood when I look at my car from the back.....

Try visiting tirerack.com (http://"http://www.tirerack.com").
Not only do they have a large selection of tires, including Kuhmos, but they have tons of user reviews and detailed information on the tire. Go there first.

Dude, we aren't trying to be dicks... at least not total dicks.  The spelling was a secondary thing, it's the laziness that you wouldn't go search for a conversion tool that pissed most people off.  You've gotta realize we have a LOT of members on this board from Canada, one from Mexico and probably others from other countries too.

I still think it's funny how only a few people spelled spoogeho right, yet everyone busting cougar86_89's balls about his spelling and grammar issues can't seem to get it right.

To try and keep things on subject, I have heard nothing but good things about spoogeho. All the minitrucker guys I hang out with all use them and when I was at the Norwalk highschool nationals there were alot of people running them. Plus the guys at Norwalk passed out spoogeho keychains to everyone that raced:D .

Yeah, man, I guess your ok.  Here's something, if you don't wanna piss with typing everything 100% grammatically correct (which I don't do, either).  Try separating your throughts or questions or thoughts with separate lines.  If you're asking a 2-for-1 question or something, just hit that enter key a couple times...

Just like that.  I even do that so it's clear that I'm asking more than one question.  It'd be doing us a favor and you'll get better responses to all the questions you ask.

I think the fact that you've stayed through all the abuse, it means you're the kinda person we like here.  You even said in an earlier post that you're just here to enjoy the forum and learn about your car and that's exactly what it's about.
