Title: 1988 Turbo Coupe Parts
Post by: Ether947 on June 25, 2006, 05:28:26 PM
Enough is enough. I'm done with this car. I can't fix it, I can't sell it.... fine! I'll part it out. Most parts are NOT used! Just mounted. I just want this  out of here! If you need any interior parts let me know, otherwise they are all getting tossed into the trunk for the recycler. I really don't want to part this car out but I need money, and this thing has been constantly draining my money since I bought it. I'll keep updating prices as soon as I can. If you need pics just let me know.

PICS are HERE! (http://"http://s69.photobucket.com/albums/i78/ether947/1988%20Thunderbird%20TC/")
And for those who can't see that link.

Ok, I have a LOT of people (from Multiple boards) asking about the same items, but no one is really saying whether they WANT the item and when they are going to pay. I really need you to tell me when and how you are going to pay because I don't know if you are just shopping around or an actual buyer. Please help me out here, otherwise I have no choice but to sell to first person that's offering money. I really hate to do it that way but this is getting rather confusing rather quickly. Thanks.

Oh, and I'm a little behind on answering emails, I was out of the office all day today so I could only check them during lunch. I am also working on setting up a central location for pics. For some reason my emails aren't getting through. So if you haven't from me by the end of the day, please shoot me another email. Thanks.

Upon removing the rear end, it started leaking out of one side of the axle tubes. I suspect I installed the seal wrong or damaged it in the process of assembly. Until I can fix this problem or at least diagnose it I am removing it from sale.

GOOD NEWS!!!
I may have gotten myself another TC. Some parts I may hold over to use on my new Bird. I am awaiting the owner to contact me so we can setup a time for me to pick it up and fork over the cash. I will let you guys know and I updated the list accordingly. Thanks.

Parting out of this car is now done. No more new requests. I'm getting this thing out of here ASAP. Thanks everybody!!! :)

Are those sensatrac shocks/struts you mentioned in that "not used, just mounted" category? And does that "$60 shipped" include Canada? I thought not :D - how much shipped to Canada (postal code B4C 2X9)?

I bought them from another member on NATO. He said that he only put about 1000 hi-way miles on them. And I'll have to get back to you on the shipping... I think I'm doing something wrong. =/

Instrument Cluster is for a Turbo Coupe... I installed the gauges but I never got the chance to do the final wiring. I'll include the instructions if need be.

As for the A-pillar gauge pod and gauge I need to keep them together as I had to mod the pod to get that gauge to fit.

Tires are in excellent condition. Only driven for last winter, which wasn't very long. Wheels are not so hot.

I'll get pics of everything you asked for ASAP.

EDIT: A-Pillar Gauge Pod Pics ADDED.
EDIT: Instrument Cluster Pic ADDED.

You need the whole armrest or just the pads? I don't think I have map pockets. Either way $5 plus shipping.

EDIT: Actually, I do have the map pockets! lol. I need to find a box for this stuff though.

I'd prefer USPS anyway - FedEx and UPS are huge ripoffs for international shipments. In addition to what they'd charge you to ship, they'd also charge me about $40 to receive the item (they call it a "brokerage fee"). For this reason I try to avoid using either at any cost.

I want 'em. PM me the details (how to pay you, etc).

The only body parts worth salvaging are the hood and trunklid. Everything else had rust.

It's got some side to side play, nothing hitting the housing. Other than that I can't tell you. Never got the chance to run it. Bought it from cougarman's son and they say it's good so that's what I'm going with. :)

The s are leather wrapped, have the 5-speed pattern on them, and say "Turbo" on em, theyre actually hard to find in good shape, and they go for like 130 bucks if you find em new in box.

Ill shoot you 30 bucks in paypal for the MGW shifter handle, the , and also to offset some paypal fees.

How much for the front and rear seat covers then? Also the sterring wheel if possable?

Let's wait a little closer til it's time to haul this thing off to the yard. I'd rather sell the seats whole. But if that doesn't happen then $15 shipped?

I am keeping the steering wheel and tilt column for darkthunder.

Thats cool, just shoot me a line when you need the money. By the way how does that work, (15 shipped means 15 including shipping or 15 + shipping?) and is it money order or debit card?????? First time buying stuffs

wish I could come up there but its kinda far to drive with gas prices the way they are.  I need the fronts and the passenger side rear retractable ones but if your not needing them I'll take them all :D  would really like to have a nice set of dew wipes :flip: :D

$15 Shipped means shipping is included in the price. So $15 is all you will owe. Money order is fine. If you have paypal even better. It's faster for the both of us. :)

Sorry buddy but the dew wipe design is completely different between 87 and 86.  Zachs repair with JcWhitney parts is your only hope for darkthunder.
