Post by: DMC24guy on June 24, 2006, 08:55:34 PM
Can someone tell me where Ford Placed it's build sheets on the Turbo Coupes? I don't know where to look for it.

Thanks!

Nowhere. I've stripped over a dozen of them and I've yet to find one.

IF it's there, it will be behind the left side rear trim panel.  I've found exactly two...

Both were near the bottom, so all you have to do is remove the lower portion of the rear seat and a few screws to see if it's in there.. If you find it then remove the seat back and pannel fully cause the ones I found were taped to the panel.

You might find it under the passenger seat as well, stuck in between the springs and the foam. That's where it was in my car. If it's there it will be in really, really bad shape...

BTW, DMC24guy, if you're gonna advertise your car for $1700 in your sig you might wanna remove the "520 dollar wonder" reference below the pic ;)

Cougar86_89 - the build sheet is a form that has a list of all the equipment that was installed in the car when it was built. Paint codes, engine calibrations, gear ratios, options - it's all there. If one were doing a concours restoration the info on the sheet could be invaluable.
