Hey guys where can I buy a new AC belt tensioner for the Cougar mine is 88 v6:flame:
actually, you would be very very surprised what you would find if you just took off your tension pully and brought it with you to a junk yard and compared it to any make or model car/truck/diesel/gas engine. Ive noticed so many times how common they are in design and shape. Im certain that the odds are good that if i needed to get one, some odd ball car would be my doner if i could not find a ford pully.
otherwise,, you would have to call a parts place like a nation wide parts locator.
I went to various Junk yards and nothing, went to a lot of Auto parts and nothing and here on the internet and nothing but would like to know if any of you guys that have a spare 88 3.8 for parts or know wheres one please tell me how much will u sell me the A/C tensioner
88 is a year. Having a front accessory setup that was only used for one year only.
Go to the parts store and have them pull an 89 3.8 pulley. I think it is the same even though the brackets are not.
The problem is I need the bracket the spring is out
