Title: Grooved Idler Pulley?
Post by: Ether947 on June 15, 2006, 07:41:36 PM
Does anyone have a vehicle (or know of one) with a grooved idler pulley? (pic below) Preferably one from a Ford. Let me know what you got. I need the Make Model Year and Engine of which it is from. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the '92 ranger we used to have sitting around had a grooved idler.  It was a wierd 8-plug 2.3.

If I recall, 3.8 Mn-12's that have the updated bracketry for the 3G alternator have a pulley like that.

Starting '87, the 2.3 Stang and Turbo Coupes used that pulley and idler for the AC belt...
