Wow, I'm usually not a fan of lowriders, but that one looks really nice. I love the attention to detail in matching the rim color and re-doing the interior.
That paint is absolutely stunning!
I dig it
hummm...parked acrossed two accessible parking spots. :nono:
Nice car though.
Very nicely done.
I'm going to go on record and say that we need more of these (done as tastefully, of course). Ain't nothin' like rollin' in a lowrider.
I agree. I think the car lends itself well to being a lowrider. I really like that interior. That's a place where these cars are lacking in stock form, IMO.
very nice.
that interior is pretty sweet too. very well done.
Does that mean the fine is doubled?
looks good man
You did a great job on that interior. Well done.
Where are your seatbelts though? Show only car or do you have a harness?
seatbelts are on order, old ones looked like hell,i think im going to see if i can get away with lap belts:D
thanks for all the compliments!,nothing was farmed out all self built!ill have to post some pics of the trunk, alot of rare aircraft parts /fittings and solonoid valve.
this one should be in the banner. Nice Job

omg!(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v124/childforsaken/cougarmodel.jpg)
Is this the first hydraulic bouncer/hopper/3-wheeler to join our site? Sorry, don't know the correct term.
Do you have subframe connectors on that thing?
Paint looks nice.
i believe i am,theres not alot of show quality cougars of my body style around, alot of 70's cougar and t bird ones though! theres a online lowriding community on a site called layitlow.com,theres a real nice 80's lowrider cougar in canada but thats about it....
and ttt:D
oh aand yes theres been an extensive amount of reinforcements made, sub frame connectors, all the factory robotic welds have been welded over, the rear upper spring pockets were plasma cut out and new beefier ones welded in,the front is chained, (i kept the struts) didnt want to rip those out, strut tower connecters i never thought of until reading in these forums! those will be next! where can one buy them?
thats nice ive only seen one cougar low before(besides the new compacts) and it was a mn-12. Quality shows and is very aparent in this car. have you tried to get in lowrider mag. ive seen some impalas that look like compared to this but they had the whole underneth finished. is yours detailed to that extent?
Looks KOOL, It is not easy being diffrent.
this winter ill start on the chrome "undies" im living in wisconsin now and had a hard time finding a good chrome plater, some of the work i seen out here that they call chrome looked like hell! nickel shadows all over the place:giggle: ,and the shipping will kill ya after the chrome guy gets done with ya! and my car has been in a few magazines, but not lowrider:mad: it seems like all they do photo's of are big body caddi's g body's and impalas.... alot of peaple have written them (ralph fuentes) and complained about seeing the same body style cars.. so well see, it will be making its 1st lowrider magazine apppearance next year in indianapolis.
Where in Wisconsin do you live now? I would love to take a look at your car up close! Nice Job!
im in wasusau
any strut tower brace for a fox body mustang will work depending on what motor you have, iv used the BBK ones and one now one from Maximum Motorsports, and i have a v8. if yours is an 84 you probley have a big air filter on top so im not sure if they will fit your app without modifying it much, but it should. hopefully somebody hear with a carbed car with strut tower brace will chime in.
i have seen an import, honde accord i think a few years ago that was on some 17 or 18'' but this is just from memory. i have the mag some where at home and i think it might of been bagged. your car is much more original than all the are big body caddis, g bodys and impalas but they defenatly not about original cars.

Not my style of car, but it looks like you put loads of work into it, and it's nice to see something different. I like the engraving on the window too! Nice work.
I don't know about him being the first, i had hydraulics on my bird about a year ago. It wasn't nice like his but it functioned. Until the oil that the pumps leaked caught on fire in my trunk and forced me to remove them.
And i remember everyone saying that my spokes looked like ! It's not fair that his rawk and mine don't! For the record i'm back to steal rims now because i'm a weakw who listens to other peoples opinions. end rant.
But yes, i do love your car. And i love the interior. Do you have any alignment issues of speeds around 65? Mine wabbled, and then i changed to the steal rims and it didn't. I was thinking my spokes were the problem.
that is a nice car you have there really well done..... btw blu..... i like those wires.... got any specs on them?
blu: i didn't like them with the look or your car, just not a match visually. where the 13's with the spoke and the lowered car "fit" as a matched style.
but it's your car and if you like it, thats what matters, if you followed everyones opinions, you'd be driving a mustang with a 306/331 with edelbrok or flowmatster parts on it.
cof:
more pics.. have any more of the interior? system? engine bay?
keep em coming. lowriders aren't my thing, but that is good work on it, and I can appreciate it.
ill have more pics soon also of another cougar lo lo.
I just want you to know, I have always hated lowriders. However, I really like yours. You have put alot of time, and I suspect money into that car.
Blue, I think I was one of the people that said I really didn't like yours. And that is true. Only thing I didnt like was the rims. Not trying to be mean or anything. You can flame me or something.
is that window etching in your rear quarter glass? btw, nice cougar. i'm normally not a fan of lowriders either but yours is sweet. :)
clean car, dont care much for the style/wheels/hydro's but it is your ride and a clean example.
I'd hit it.
None of you guys remember Lowcat do you? He hasn't been around forever, something about him losing his car.
Yeah, he had hydraulics installed and it was awesome. That was back in early 2005 or so. He bought a new Focus and junked his cat.
Speaking of lowcat and his airbag suspension. Looks like he took it off the cougar and put it on his focus.
http://media.putfile.com/Focus-on-Air (http://"http://media.putfile.com/Focus-on-Air")
he was primered with ponies right? and then some other mustang rims later machI maybe i m not sure
another 1st place best of class over the weekend.... beat out all the hotrods they classed me with....although there was some really nice impalas, glad they werent in my class lol....
Nice cougar, I used to be into hydros myself. :).
My last 2 thunderbirds were juiced. The 83 was a bucket though...it had 2 old school hi-jackers and 4 batteries. 8's all the way around with chrome and gold knockoff daytons. my 88 has CCE equipped with 1 pump, 4 batteries and 8's on all corners, before I got the 88 it had 12's in the back and 4, it used to hit monster 3 wheels.
, looks great!
It would take me a lifetime to do all that work. Did you do the upholstrey yourself?
Can't wait to see the second one!
a friend bought a cougar from ky (lowrider) the owner was from united ridaz c.c.was that you?
another cougar 83 lowrider!
my bad it was a 83 t-bird
kevin838887 do you have pics of you old rides?
Not really my cup of tea, but looks nice and clean none the less.
here is low cats cardomain page http://www.cardomain.com/ride/751484/2 . he was first here but look at all these mn-12s http://www.baggedbirds.com/introduction.htm
the interior is nice.. love the lace, and tweed inserts (i think you said tweed)
im still alive! been busy with customers cars, but im getting back on mine now!!! im looking for some 351-w heads 69-71 casting# c90e-b or c90e-d, chamber size 60cc...
engine is 302. im shaving the firewall all holes in fenders will be welded up and smoothed as well and candy painted as well as the engine block
I've got a set of C9's from a 69 351W. Shipping might be expensive though. Where are you located. I'll see if I can get some pics up for you later on this week (I've gotta dig them out of the back corner of my garage).
Oh, and how much are you looking to spend?
im in wausau wisconsin,im looking for rebuilders that never been milled, im interested in buying them from you shipping i think would run about 60 bucks. get back to me. and thanks...
and for price what are they worth to you?? shiznit is that supposed to be said the other way around lol
These have never been milled that I know of. The 351 that they came off of is standard bore. I cant say that they're untouched because they have dual valve springs.
I'll get some pics for you by saturday and then I'll wrap one up and take it to the post office and find out what shipping would cost. Then I'll PM you and we can work out the details if ya still want them.
much appriciated! get back to me
Here are the pics. Sorry it took so long. They were buried pretty good so I've been putting off pulling them out. I cleaned off some of the grunge so you can actually see what they are and see the casting numbers.
Here's a couple more... and you have PM.
appriciate you diggin those out,i get paid this friday so depending on what ya want for em i should have the cash.....also i was wondering if you would know do you need a 351 w intake with these heads? or 302 beings the block is?....
302 intake is fine. The intake ports on the 351 heads are a little bigger than 302 heads but the water passages are exactly the same. The intake runners on a 302 intake will be a little smaller but thats generally true for most intake/head combos. Intake valves are 1.84 and the exhaust is the same as a 302.
The only thing you'll need to install them on a 302 is bushings for the head bolt holes. A 351 uses 1/2 bolts where as a 302 uses 7/16 so the bolt holes in the heads are obviously drilled for 351's. I think Trick Flow makes the bushings and there are probably alot of other sources for them.
i got your private message,i messaged you back, thanks my friend
Heres a link for the head bolt bushings.

blu84302,
I think your car looked great with those wire wheels on it. :flip: they remind me of the DeLorean wheels.
oh yeah yours is nice too childforsaken. real clean car!!!
ive always gotten a kick out of lowiders/bouncers. its just so hilarious watching people make these cars bounce several feet in the air, sometimes rolling them over!
Wow took forever to find my old thread ttt
