Wow, I'm usually not a fan of lowriders, but that one looks really nice.  I love the attention to detail in matching the rim color and re-doing the interior.

Very nicely done.

I'm going to go on record and say that we need more of these (done as tastefully, of course). Ain't nothin' like rollin' in a lowrider.

I agree.  I think the car lends itself well to being a lowrider.  I really like that interior.  That's a place where these cars are lacking in stock form, IMO.

Is this the first hydraulic bouncer/hopper/3-wheeler to join our site?  Sorry, don't know the correct term.

Do you have subframe connectors on that thing?

Paint looks nice.

this winter ill start on the chrome "undies" im living in wisconsin now and had a hard time finding a good chrome plater, some of the work i seen out here that they call chrome looked like hell! nickel shadows all over the place:giggle: ,and the shipping will kill ya after the chrome guy gets done with ya!  and my car has been in a few magazines, but not lowrider:mad:  it seems like all they do photo's of are big body caddi's g body's and impalas.... alot of peaple have written them (ralph fuentes) and complained about seeing the same body style cars.. so well see, it will be making its 1st lowrider magazine apppearance next year in indianapolis.

any strut tower brace for a fox body mustang will work depending on what motor you have, iv used the BBK ones and one now one from Maximum Motorsports, and i have a v8. if yours is an 84 you probley have a big air filter on top so im not sure if they will fit your app without modifying it much, but it should. hopefully somebody hear with a carbed car with strut tower brace will chime in.

i have seen an import, honde accord i think a few years ago that was on some 17 or 18'' but this is just from memory. i have the mag some where at home and i think it might of been bagged. your car is much more original than all the are big body caddis, g bodys and impalas but they defenatly not about original cars.

I don't know about him being the first, i had hydraulics on my bird about a year ago.  It wasn't nice like his but it functioned.  Until the oil that the pumps leaked caught on fire in my trunk and forced me to remove them.

And i remember everyone saying that my spokes looked like !  It's not fair that his rawk and mine don't!  For the record i'm back to steal rims now because i'm a weakw who listens to other peoples opinions.  end rant.

But yes, i do love your car.  And i love the interior.  Do you have any alignment issues of speeds around 65?  Mine wabbled, and then i changed to the steal rims and it didn't.  I was thinking my spokes were the problem.

blu: i didn't like them with the look or your car, just not a match visually. where the 13's with the spoke and the lowered car "fit" as a matched style.
but it's your car and if you like it, thats what matters, if you followed everyones opinions, you'd be driving a mustang with a 306/331 with edelbrok or flowmatster parts on it.

cof:
more pics.. have any more of the interior? system? engine bay?
keep em coming. lowriders aren't my thing, but that is good work on it, and I can appreciate it.

I just want you to know, I have always hated lowriders. However, I really like yours. You have put alot of time, and I suspect money into that car.

Blue, I think I was one of the people that said I really didn't like yours. And that is true. Only thing I didnt like was the rims. Not trying to be mean or anything. You can flame me or something.

Nice cougar, I used to be into hydros myself. :).

My last 2 thunderbirds were juiced. The 83 was a bucket though...it had 2 old school hi-jackers and 4 batteries. 8's all the way around with chrome and gold knockoff daytons. my 88 has CCE equipped with 1 pump, 4 batteries and 8's on all corners, before I got the 88 it had 12's in the back and 4, it used to hit monster 3 wheels.

These have never been milled that I know of. The 351 that they came off of is standard bore. I cant say that they're untouched because they have dual valve springs.

I'll get some pics for you by saturday and then I'll wrap one up and take it to the post office and find out what shipping would cost. Then I'll PM you and we can work out the details if ya still want them.

appriciate you diggin those out,i get paid this friday so depending on what ya want for em i should have the cash.....also i was wondering if you would know do you need a 351 w intake with these heads? or 302 beings the block is?....
Title: my 1984 cougar lowrider
Post by: Dogcharmer on September 24, 2006, 09:45:00 PM
302 intake is fine. The intake ports on the 351 heads are a little bigger than 302 heads but the water passages are exactly the same. The intake runners on a 302 intake will be a little smaller but thats generally true for most intake/head combos. Intake valves are 1.84 and the exhaust is the same as a 302.

The only thing you'll need to install them on a 302 is bushings for the head bolt holes. A 351 uses 1/2 bolts where as a 302 uses 7/16 so the bolt holes in the heads are obviously drilled for 351's. I think Trick Flow makes the bushings and there are probably alot of other sources for them.

blu84302,

I think your car looked great with those wire wheels on it. :flip:  they remind me of the DeLorean wheels.

oh yeah yours is nice too childforsaken. real clean car!!!

ive always gotten a kick out of lowiders/bouncers. its just so hilarious watching people make these cars bounce several feet in the air, sometimes rolling them over!
