Title: Flowmaster on my truck
Post by: Beau on June 07, 2006, 05:01:15 PM
I've had a pair of flowmasters layin' around for awhile, and today i got a couple of clamps and a piece of pipe, and put one of them one my '92 F-150....it had a glasspack on it before, but was too "screamy" when i got on the gas...especially after i gutted the cats...
The flowmaster kinda toned it down, so to speak, and i really like the way it burbles now...wish i had headers on it though...
anyway, when I rebuild the 302 in it, im gonna run a bit bigger cam, and some headers, and do a true dual exhaust set-up on it...;)
I really like the way flowmasters sound on 302 engines...

I hate the sound of flowmaster 40 series lers unless there is a set of headers in front of it and/or a cam.  Although, Nick has 1 chamber flowmasters on his 'Bird and it sounds absolutely BAD ASS!

You've never heard a set of 40's behind a Y-block then..... ;)

I like my Flowmasters. I've had them for about 5 years now but can't remember what series they are.

I had a set of 1 chambers on my other mustang with headers and O/R H. I agree they do sound good and they didnt drone lol.

I have a set of 30series (Said the previous owner) on my car now and they sound good, not the usual 40series sound, but still a flowmaster sound. Should sound even better on the 16th when I cam it :)

They sound just as good behind a flat-head Ford too:D
