Lmk what ya got.

I have a AOD, what all do you need? The whole tailshaft housing with the tailshaft itself or what? I didnt think they had govenors though.
I think the govenor is for shifts or something. My problem is I pulled an aod from a continental and I was told that it is an inch longer and the govenor is lower. I definetly want the housing and depending how much you want for the shaft, I'll take it too. I also need a tv cable if you have it.
last time i took an aod appart i think the entire transmission needs to be taken appart from the bell back to get the tail shaft out, the housing however comes rite off. and iv never heard of a governer on a transmission. the shifting is controlled by the vb and im pretty sure their all the same. only difference may be the OD band being stronger, and a few extra clutches.
The AOD's do have governors, the T-birds/Cougars and 'Stangs use the same 4700rpm governor, everything else uses a 4200rpm governor. You should be able to use the t-bird tailshaft/governor...I believe TCI makes a "hi-rev" 5500rpm governor for the AOD as well.
I don't have a t bird tailshaft to use. It was a 5 speed and I'm changing it to aod. btw thanks for the info guys.
K ill take a look at it when I get home, and yes I have a TV cable also.
Whats the good word?
Have money in hand......
