My reverse lights aren't working in my '85 TC. I bought a netural/backup switch but haven't installed it yet. Any other possibilites of what can cause them not to work? The light bulbs are all fine so that's not the issues. The trans is manual, BTW. Any help would be appreciated!
it may be something as simple as a fuse, u wouldnt believe how many time i've seen good bulbs replaced, when all the person needed was a new fuse. i would check that before anything.
jumper the switch connector with a paperclip or whatever and see if your lights come on that way and if so, its the switch. if not,, check the bulbs and also the socket for power after you select reverse.
Yeah, I think my stepdad said he was going to check the fuse, but we never got around to it being we own a pizza shop. I'll try to get em to look this weekend. I've got back problems so I can't lay down like that to check :mad: Thanks for the tips guys. I'll let you know how it turns out!
If you have power doorlocks they should lock when you take it out of reverse. my 84 does. I also have a turbo coupe 5 spd.
