Title: BMW 3 Series Headlights
Post by: Carl on May 24, 2006, 10:59:40 AM
Is it a fairly easy process to put them on an 84 Cat? I am going to be buying some soon, and was just wondering how much work I am going to need to do.

I looked into this once. Do not settle for less than the Ellipsoid style. Everyone with base BMW headlamps complain about the Hellas and upgrade to Ellipsoids. I remember there being a few BMW salvage yards/parts suppliers on the East Coast that sold them for relatively cheap (~$100 US per side).

Far as getting them to fit, work, and line up properly...it's all you. Good luck with that.

Thanks for the info, I will keep everyone posted.

Would these be the headlights you speak of?

Yes...those are them.

Guess they're not as cheap as I remembered, though.

I believe the price is for a pair.  There is no way of identifying L or R side.  So the price would then be $114.98 each.
