Went to the track last Sat and tried to get the new setup to work.
Keep blowing intercooler pipe off. I'll try to post the video.

Thanks for fixing the link, Me and my computer don't alwas get along.LOL
awesome....was un aware that you went to a turbo...
Oh my god I think I just made a mess....
awesome man. I love it... wanna tradE?
I didn't want to say anything till I got some of the bugs worked out.
Still have a few. Have most of the problems solved on the turbo kit and the air ride.
Very, very, very (oops, said that already) SWEET. Is that easier on the motor than Nitrous?
Any power adder is about the same as long as you have a Good tune. I built the motor for the turbo and the N20 was just a power fix until I could get the turbo stuff.
Power is like a drug, sometime you just need a fix. LOL
Thats awesome man!
That Cobra wasn't even a challenge:flame:
d00d, I bet that cobra didn't know what hit him. that is awesome.
more vids. and pics of the install!!!
have you hit a dyno yet? what HP are you making.. that is one bad ride.. you still need to get your hood fixed :P
Hell yeah! You car looks awesome and so does your time haha. any more drag videos?
you still need to get your hood fixed :P[/QUOTE]
All I need is more time, and the hood would be fixed.
Look @ my sig and you will see that I own a DYNO SHOP

When I get the I/C pipe to stay on I'll have some good #'s
Install Pictures
Nice install. What turbo and trim is it?
It is a T-70 with a .96 AR on the exhaust side. Thanks for the kind word.
That is really nice. Just wondering how much would you gain if you went twin turbo? Is that possible or just a waste of time?
Nice setup 5.8fastcat !! Lots of luck with the new mods... Keep us posted the next time she goes to the track!
The offset of the price for twins would not be feasable for the power gains.
You would have to have a place for twins, If you don't want P/S, A/C or any other goodies it would leave you more room. But my car is a street car for cruising and I want a nice ride and A/C and P/S.
So 475 RWHP is enough for me.
Yeah 475 rwhp is good:D . I was just wondering if a twin turbo set up was worth it. How much did the motor make na without the 150 shot?
How streetable is that combo you have now? I assume since you have a/c and p/s that it is still mild mannered. Also how is your AOD holding up to that amount of power?
man that's such a nice, clean car. nice time also. make sure to post a "fixed" run :)
The trans has held up very well after the latest rebuild. We intstalled 4R70W planteries,O/D drum,OD band, conveted the frt input shaft over to the C6 shaft. Has a Lentech valve body and a Art Carr convt.
Car is pretty streetable, Haven't put many miles on her yet with this setup yet. The day we ran @ the track a buddies car broke so we put his car on my trailer and I drove it back on the 60 mile trip with no problem.
Motor was setup for a turbo with low compression it only made 300 RWHP 374 tor on motor only.
I plan on driving her to CATJAM
I didn't realize you switched back to the AOD. What's up with that? You don't like to shift or something? Don't you owe a viper 6 speed to that motor? :)
With the AOD the BOOST can stay on not bleed off between shifts.
I thought that's what a quality BOV was for?
Not really. A blow off valve's purpose is to keep the boost from slamming into a closed throttle plate, creating a "shockwave" that would normally bounce back to the turbo or supercharger impeller (creating turbulence, heat, and potential damage to the bearings and impeller). Instead, the blow off valve opens, preventing that "shockwave".
What Greg is saying is that a hydraulic transmission (like an AOD) is a softer coupler between the engine and rear-end. The RPM changes during the shift won't be as sudden as a mechanical connection (like a T5), and should result in smoother operation of the boost device.
I built my car as more of an all-purpose car, to have fun with, as Greg's response here sounds like 1/4 mile times and consistancy were his main goal. :)
The main purpose of my car Ed is to whipp Stangs and Camero A_ _.
No I didn't build it just to drag race, I just take it to the track to have a good time. I handles well, the A/C is cold and the power window and such all still work.
If I wanted a Drag only car it would be alot lighter and no acssories.
Same here.... Full operating accesories with added passenger power seat... A clapped out and HOT car ain't any fun in the summertime.

you and your cold A/C!
