have had an msd failure , box/coil/add on/etc lets here it

so far ive had a few over the years

1 7al-2 box

1 6al box > yesterday on the side of the freeway for 3 hrs

4 tfi blaster coils

1 blaster 3 coil

so i went back to the good ol' duraspark system maybe it wont leave me hanging:flame:

! I've heard alot about Blaster II's failing or buzzing. No problems with mine yet, but I have a spare stocker in the trunk just in case! Time to look into a F.A.S.T. box I would think.

You can send your MSD boxes back to them and they will repair them cheaply( if that is a word?)  I sent 2 back and they fixed them both for like 50 shipped back to me.

My blaster II Coil gave out on me, but that was after about 4 years of use.  It ALWAYS buzzed though, and nobody, not even MSD, can tell me why.

my MSD tfi coil failed on me after a couple months. i'll never buy another one.

and mine buzzed too.

EDIT: oops, i picked the wrong one in the poll.

I put an msd coil in the Bird when I had it. It buzzed all the time but never failed on me. The tech guy at MSD told me that it was cause by my plug wires, which I didn't believe.

stock ford coils work just as good as the msd part does.

I've never had anything from MSD, but in 2000 I did buy a used Accel TFI coil that I put on my 2.3L Mustang...had it on there for 5 years and never had a problem. Can't say the same thing about their plug wires though.
