Hey, I just saw the pics of your 88 (After) in the rides section. Man I love those beemer lights! Could you give me a brief overview of how you did that, ie: what year BMW donated the lights, what did you have to do to make them fit, and how hard was the project? BTW, where did you did you find that front air dam?
I think I just found my next project!:D
He could tell you, but then he'd have to kill you. :giggle:
But no, seriously, I think he would like to keep it under wraps for a bit. Plus, I think there's still some details to iron out.
However, the front air is part of the GST ground effects kit for 87/88 Cougars.
If he told you, I would have to kill you.
Basically, you have the right idea. Everything you see is custom. He spent his time reseaching, dreaming, building, spending, etc.
Start buying, measuring, and cutting. Youll get it eventually.
I haven't done much body work, much custom work, that's why I was wondering what was involved. I've been playing with the idea of grafting a "four eyed" front end on my '88. I guess it's just me, and although I like the lines of the vehicle, there's just something about those big 'ol aero headlight assemblies, that to me, just don't fit the rest of the car. I think the four light system looks much cleaner. I guess before I start on that project, I've got to replace the doors that my daughter caved in.
hell, Cougars2Go isnt a big mechanical buff, and he managed to do it. Its not difficult to do body work, just take your time.
Hey man, thanks for the compliments.
Here is a thread that goes over some stuff with that mod:

I do have to say that your avitar makes it look scary. If you can add teeth and a unquie horn, you could be your own holloween car!
Or a mean looking Christeen car.
I like it though
Daniel
BTW do you have a bigger picture of your avitar, I would like to make it my computer background. It gives me shivers
