Title: Seat belt bolts...

What size torx? star? bit is needed to get the seat belts off on 84 mercury cougar?  tryin to do some work on interior and wattya know... seat belts gotta come out and i do not have a star bit big enough.... so..... clue me in... what size is needed?

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember using a T-50 around the seats. That was about five years ago, though...

Seat belt bolts are always T-50 in our cars. Zach has a good memory for parts. Directions....not so good. ;)

thank you..... now i know what i need to go get :-D i also need to pick up paint :-D hehe...... n paint stripper lmao... painting the 4 cyl turbine style wheels :-? tried flat black so far....dunno how i like it.

Good luck with the rear belts, they're a pain in the arse.

The bolts usually rust to the floor pan. Might have to heat them with a torch to get 'em out.

well the ones of my concern at the moment are the ones for the driver and passenger side.... next to center consols.... they got all that broken plastic and that wire with a hook on it which always seems to find my belt loops on my pants n break em.
