Post by: kingcars on May 07, 2006, 11:24:00 AM
If I install an offroad pipe, what do I do with the air tube from the air pump?

Throw it away(what I did)...

The off road pipe should have a hookup for the air tube...

Have you had any legal problems?  We have emissions to worry about here in NC :( .  But the place we get our cars inspected just change the sticker :D .

For your situation, you'd have to see if when they inspect your car, they look for the cats. Your car could fail the inspection if they aren't there depending on how strict and caring NC is.

See you're supposed to have them in MD, but the state is nothing but a bunch of money grubbing turds so as long as you pay them your inspection fee, it doesn't matter. They really don't care about reducing emissions, it's just a money making scheme. I haven't had the cats for over a year and although they may check the exhaust with a mirror, they never failed me for not having them. Just for putting out excessive amounts of HCs :hick:

The place we get our inspections doesn't even look at the car...they just change the sticker and send you on your way.  Gotta love it.  :hick:
