Title: need help with keyless entry

i just bought a 88 cougar ls with the keyless entry didnt have the code searched on here and checked on the trunk hing found it and it worked great about 10 times then one day it didnt work??? it still lights up when i hit it but it doesnt unlock???

Do the doors still lock/unlock with the inside switches???

If it still lights up that means it should be getting power.  Sounds like one of the contacts went bad behind a button.
