Alright...got a slightly major issue with the cat here. On thursday on the way back to work i go to hit the brakes and go from a firm pedal to a soft one..still seem to have fronts only but im not sure. I know some cars are set up with the one part of the master cyl controling one front and one rear (ex. front half of cyl controling front right and rear left) and the other half controling the other two corners. but then again some cars are set up with one half controling fronts and one half controling rears...now which is used on the Fox body cars? AS i said it seems i have fronts only..(kinda tested that doing brake stands to see what was up...seems both rears turn just fine ;) )
Seems this old cat is starting to fall apart...starting from when i got back from my road trip. First the starter finally dies now this
Front and rear are separate i'm pretty sure unless its ABS then I dunno
Yeah, it sounds like you've blown a rear brake line somewhere. If you look at the master cylinder, there's two separate resiviors for fluid. The resivior towards the front controls the rear brakes, and the one at the rear controls the front brakes.
Yep check your rubber hose in the rear, where it goes from the frame to the axle.
I actually split the metal line in the rear on my 3.8L car
I had brakes like that when my rear wheel cyclinder when out due to a out or spec drum.
when my rear wheel cyl went out i had problems with the car lockin up the rear tire. didnt have a problem after initial warm up and going through some accell and slow down. but if i shut car off n let it sit a while n take it back out it would lock tires up again until warmed up lol .
