Post by: Cougar8775 on May 01, 2006, 09:19:15 PM
ok i was on my laptop sitting and chatting with a friend and all of a sudden it says its going to hibernation. so i was like ok no biggie figured hit the power button once to get it to recover right? wrong! it never did so i turned it off. bad move i know now it won't turn on. at all. so what should i do? i pulled the power plug and battery then put that all back in and nothing still. im at my wits end and need it back up like asap! any help would be great. oh its a dell inspr0n 2200 1.4 mgz processor  256 for ram. and its all up to date no virusis at all. always ran my scanners and everything is up to date.

Look around on the bottom of the laptop for a pinhole sized reset button. That should basically reset everything back to default factory settings. Also leave the battery out and the power supply plugged in when you try to start it up.

no such luck no pin hole anywhere but i belive on the newer dells taking out the battery is equivalant to that reset button. but also i think my power supply may be shot. since there is nothing elts obviousely wrong.

well you could always check the voltage of the power supply,.... THis is the most likely and easiest fix.

It is prolly the connector for the power that is soldered on the motherboard.
