Title: New Headlight Lenses for the 87-88
Post by: xr7cat on April 30, 2006, 06:29:24 PM
I am just wondering if they were out there how many of you would buy them.

I was kind of thinking that if there were enough people out there that would we could maybe persue a company to make some.

Just a thought

You're best bet is eBay, if you are lucky you might be able to find a dealership that still has some new ones like I was able to.  The only person here who has been successful in making his own headlights is Cougars2Go, and it still remains for the most part a secret how he did it.

lol, I was thinking of making my own. I just thought that if we got enough people in kind of a petition that we could get some made, separate or an all in one item.

But thanks, will keep looking on evilbay.

Used to you could find them on Ebay in new sets...  I searched and came up empty handed.  Try autozone, last time I checked they could order them through a company called Keystone something or other.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be all for a company making aftermarket headlights for our cars, but keep in mind that there are two types of front ends, and that It would probably seriously take a LOT of us to get a company to even consider it.  And above all, they would most likely be hella expensive.

Before you buy new ones try wet sanding and buffing your old ones... it really helped mine out.

Last time I checked they were still available from Ford. Got mine for $100 each or so, thanks to a hook up at the parts dept.  Same units as 88-94 Lincoln Continentals.

wow so there is another car that has the same headlights as ours? I wonder if they make projector replacements for that car. I know they do for mustangs I was actually contemplating an idea of converting some mustang lights like that to work in our cars. I got an idea on it I think might work just havent came across the lights to use yet. And wow another Dan thats cool Evilbay had them as of last week for new replacements not sure where the people are coming up with them from but itd be cool to find out.
Laters all
