I think I'm in love... :wtf:
Easy there killer......
Heheheh! Talk it over with her boyfriend maybe... you guys can chat about it.
Keep it in yer pants, dude. She's a cutie, but man, you just redefined the word 'forward'. I'm starting to understand the pit bull.
Olde English Bulldog! Not a pit, just derrived from them:

And zpyro, thanks, but chill... yeesh
(http://www.fullvoidstudios.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/rofl_boom.gif)
Oh, I've shamed The Crystal's hound. I'll go out back and whip myself accordingly. Forgive me, oh queen of the T-bird.
(heh, sorry 'bout that. Ye Olde Anglian Bullish Hound it shall be.)
I can only imagine what you go through at Catjam. I've got an image of a row of passed out drooling males circling the TC. They just couldn't handle seeing a girl do a motor swap. My advice, take the dog with you this year. :D
LMAO, thanks man, I so needed that :giggle: :rollin:
I may have to go get a tag made that says that "Ye Olde Anglian Bullish Hound"
the Wookie is contracted by her BF to keep n00bs like you in line...
And 'In love' ? Dang, man. You've never even met the girl. For all you know, she could be the biggest bitch this side of Hollywood, in person.
So I see that you've met her in person as well, oldraven.
:D
i saw what she looked like, then ran in the other room as fast as i could so i wouldnt forget...
:giggle: :giggle: :grinno:
deff any girl that plays bass n is into cars :grinno: :giggle:
She's a bassist, a big Big-dog lover, AND can do a motor swap???? .......................
ok, I'm alright again.
(btw, what kind of bass do you have?)
*Intarweb geeks drool over girl*
WOW, you guys seriously need to loosen up. I never saw people take stuff they saw on the internet so seriously, jeeze
and I don't need to chill, just put [not serious] tags in it so you guys won't make such a big deal out of it...
i'm sure their "serious" remarks are more out of sarcasm
doesn't seem like it, seems like everyone is jumping up my ass cuz of the post....
and the bass looks like an ESP F-series, I had an F-100 guitar awhile back. very secksi guitar
Dere are wimminz on da Interweb? Hoo-wee! :wtf: :hick:
:giggle:
It's hard to tell the nature of a guys (n' galls) post when you're looking at text and not a person's face.
In our defense a statement like "I saw her face! OMG, I'm in teh luvs." sounds like a cyber-stalker in the makings. ;)
Here's my baby. Now I truley AM in teh luvs with this one. :grinno:

ESP LTD F204
You've gotta understand I have met at least half these guys or talked to them a good amount on the net. I've heard it before, just typically people don't start new topics about it, so it seemed a tad strange
Now look what you've done. You've gone and given her a swelled head.
jk
Any pics of this ESP?
In my senior pics on my site, I can take some more in the mornin. I had some, but they seem to have left the computer.
sorry, I was bored and it was 1:30 in the morning, i had nothing else to do. and it was written the way that it is so it WOULD read as a joke. why would I post something like that for everyone to see, wouldn't a stalker be a little more private, like sending her 30 pms and emails a day?
oh and heres my axe :D
(http://img65.exs.cx/img65/2210/mvc248s0ud.jpg)
hmm... I think ill take the 5th on this whole thread.
I just saw what crystal looks like too!
I wish there were more girls around here that looked like that AND liked cars, most of them are 6'2" 200lbs and could beat me up :hick: (not that theres anything wrong with that....)
this guy knows what i meant
*Crystal begins to get wierded out by comments from boys on the intarweb*
Anyway, here's a pic of the bass I took this morning. Not too bad for barely being awake:
*Homer drool*
If I ever make it to catjam, we'll have to bring the strings along, and rock out 'Spinal Tap' style.
(2 bassists in Spinal Tap, if you didn't catch that)
Hey, you should change your profile to say;
crystal
AKA: Little Girl with Big Stick
or
crystal
AKA: Little Girl with Big Dog
lol :giggle:
uh oh, I better get practicing
I've got a coffin case for it too, but didn't feel like digging it out at 5:30 this morning
P.S. How's that one?
crystal
Owner: Ye Olde Anglian Bullish Hound
w00t! (ok, I'm using that too much these days)
I've just got my Fender hardshell, but it works plenty good. My dad's got a vintage Fender Mustang. One of the last one's ever made, according to the serial. He has it packed away and never plays it anymore. :(
Man, I've really got to get a decent amp. This Epiphone 10" practice amp isn't cutting it.
That amp setup cost me a wopping $600... see, I don't just luck out on car parts. The bass was $500
$600 is a lot for a two piece setup like that? And $500 for an ESP is pretty decent. Maybe I'm losing something in the conversion.
read it again...
better?
Is this turning into a guitar thread?
*looks for pics of his axes*
basically... post away :)
It might help if I take my time reading. :p
What Adam saw;
"see, I just luck out on car parts."
And no, this isn't a guitar thread. It's a Crystal thread, and she's about cars, dogs, n' strings. :D (how's that for a BS excuse to talk guitars?)
lol
I got an awesome deal on that stuff. The cab was basically liquidated and the head I bought "used" from a friend of a friend (it was used at 2 shows)
Now to get a pic of my dog in front of the car with the bass... yeah, that should do it :)
Since it's about dogs too....

Guitars hey?
I've own"ed"
a black Gibson Ripper base - 1977ish
a Peavey 115 base amp
a red Fender Strat with the fine tuning POS
a Traynor mark III tube amp
sold them and put the money toward the t-bird fund.
I now have
a black Gibson Les Paul 1988
a black Gibson SG 1989
a Peavey 130 clasic chorus amp 1988
a Yamaha accoustic with 009" - 042" electric strings <- I play this one the most
...man I miss my ripper :(
This is my other guitar. A Yamy accousitc. I bought this as an excuse to go to town and buy 'the ring'. ;) Anyway, this is a pic of an F310, which is the basic high end Yamy, but I'm not sure of what model I have, exactly. I'll find out when I get home. It's an accoustic/electric with a 3-way eq.
For those who don't know, these are nothing like the yamy's you see for sale in the Sears catalogue. In my opinion, they have the best tone you can get for the money. Around $200 for the same sound you'll get for a $500+ Washburn or Ibanez. Fender accoustics are garbage, at least from my experience with my brother's old one. Wouldn't keep tune for an hour.
wish i still had my show pics of me with the hawk and the bass. Im definately not running out to take pics of everything in the garage quite yet tho.... besides... my brother in law got sawdust on the side of my amp *steams*
Ah, it's an FX-310. :D
This guy I work with makes guitars as a hobby and has a friend that sells them for him over here at Peeler Music in Toledo. Right now he is working on a double neck acoustic, thing is purrty. Ill have to get a few good pics of it when he is done.
A guy I know back east makes his own guitars. He doesn't sell very many at all, but he keeps on doing it anyway. When we runs out of materials, he takes an old one apart and starts over. :p They're beautiful guitars, and have an awesome sound, but I think it's cool that he just keeps on doing it for the love of it.
Anyway, here are some pics of 'my' guitars. Sorry they're not all spiffed up. Oh, and it apears I don't have an eq on the accoustic. (oops) I rarely plug it in anyway.

I'm rebuilding this dirty old thing for Ange, and will be stringing it left. She asked me to teach her, but without having her own guitar, I'd end up having to restring mine, and would have nothing to teach her with. :p I just hope it holds tune. There is no warping, or water damage. The neck is straight, and the frets are in line. All I need to do is reinforce the area where the bridge was ripped off, and reatach. I'm going to do some celtic knotwork with stain around the edge and up the center, before varnish. I just hope it works out.
Anyway, it's extremely dirty, and it's in the storage room, so forgive the mess. (this isn't the only room like that now, since we're renovating the kitchen too :wtf: )

where the bridge was ripped off, did it end up pulling the wood with it and splitting it?
i have an old acustic in my closet that the bridge got ripped off of and the wood split a bit
A little. The wood around the peg holes splintered out a little bit, which is why I want to put a brace inside, and fasten the bridge down with some countersunk bolts, or screws if I have to. These things are made to pull the pegs out before to much carnage happens to the flat top. The one thing that worries me is that the wood around the bridge is raised a bit. I don't want there to be too much action for her first guitar.
Oh well, if it sounds like arse, I'll put some old strings on it and just hang it on the wall. We can buy her one, if need be.
I love peeler. Ive bought just about every bit of musical stuff there cept for my stage head/cab cause i got a pretty good deal for them @ Mars. Poor lil ampeg 15" couldnt take the workingman head power tho. Found a replacement eminence delta speaker that can take 400w all day and sound nice and loud next to a pair of marshal half stacks. I'll only use that in shows or soundproofed rooms tho... has a tendency to shake houses terribly *grins*
I just saw what Crystal looks like - she's got nice strings and she'll play a good tune if plucked properly! :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
Good 'ol Dead-ham Mass. - I used to hang out there when I was, well, 21 also! (now I'm x2 that).
Oh, and I gave away my guitar to some chick I was dating a couple of years ago - oh well :wtf:
Here's the latest shot of mine.
From left to right and top to bottom:
-Mid-'90s Peavey Raptor (great guitar)
-'01 Double-fat Strat
-Brice 6-string bass
-Early-'80s Hondo H-76 Strat (bought in '93)
-Cheap, abused bass that's worth nothing (free)
-Alvarez acoustic
-Aria acoustic
and all of Zachs guitars that are in playable condition play awesome, i enjoyed sampling them :)
Thanks, Shawn. Did you play the Peavey? That guitar has the fastest neck and best action of any guitar I've ever owned, and I paid only $50 for it.
I played a set-up Mexican Strat that didn't play as well as that Peavey.
yeah, i played the Peavey, i think at the time it was lacking a string
i still need to restring my jackson, ive never messed with a floyd rose, so im still a little iffy about messing with it, i put new strings on my ibanez, but they were too heavy of a gauge so its pulling the hell out of the bridge, maybe sometime soon ill swing out to a guitar shop and get some ultra lights for the ibanez
6 string basses scare me. the range must be nice but im a tall guy with long fingers and reaching the top string is still a nightmare
That's the nice thing about a jazz bass. The neck is a little longer, but it's a lot thinner, esspecially at the head. I can touch my thumb to pinky around the neck down there. Super smoothe though. I've never played a six string, but have messed with a five string. It's odd. The top string is the additional, with a lower tone than the E (it's the b, right?). Is the sixth a higher string, on the bottom, or another low string? And they're not that bad to play.
Hey you perves! Just remember, I'm the biggest Crystal fan on this board! Just look at my room! :giggle:
shiznit, man. I only wish that weren't ps'd, because that would be perfectly twisted. She'd never speak to any of us again. :grinno:
Yeah, we'd all get cyber restraining orders! "Do not go withing a 100 measage boards of Crystal"! Hahaha!
Sad part is, you can see Star Trek toys in the picture, if ya didn't know me better, it would be perfectly beleivable that an obsessed shagless stalker lived there! LOL!
hell man, if those were real, id ask where you got em
It takes a long time to get used to the 6-string, and it's REAL heavy.
It actually belongs to my brother. He also has a 5-string Yamaha and a 4-string Ibanez. Those are sweet guitars.
Dare, do you polish your "rocket" while looking at those pictures?
Actualy I prefur to use the Warp Nacells from the Enterprise for that perpose. My virgin bunghole couldn't take the Phoenix!
Of course they are real, havn't you seen my auctions on Ebay? :giggle:
Hey, where's Crystal anyway? she's probably filing that restraining order after viewing this thread. :giggle:
LOL, glad to see you haven't disappeared due to some weird freak crazy friends uncle shooting
See, I do this work thing where I have to get up at 5:30 in the morning, so I usually try to get more than 3 hours of sleep ;)
And yes, you guys have officially lost it...
i have a feeling someone is fibbing :dunce:
Nice!
How do you like it? I love the action, and having the jazz neck, it's the easiest bass I've ever played. (The hardest I've ever played was the stand up, but it's just too cool, so I forced myself to get used to it anyway :p )
Have you ever had the chance to play it on a Dunlop crybaby? These two were made for each other, man. Funk as good as it gets. :D
