Title: 18x9 cobra r's???
Post by: dominator on April 23, 2006, 12:12:12 PM
Hey guys i know this has been done to death but i've looked around at other posts and not found a correct offset or real answer.
Here's the thing,i got some free(can't beat free)new 245-45-18 eagle rs/a's and i was looking for some rims to put them on.
I have come across a brand new set of 18x9 +24mm offset 4lug crome cobra r's for under 1000.00 canadian.
Now i've seen different offsets such as +12 and +30 on here for correct wheel spacing but i need to know if these will fit and work correctly.
I know hawk now has 18x9 wheels but his are custom made and i don't know what offset he used.
Anyhow, this is for an 87 TC,any input you guys have would be awsome as always, thanks.

Hey, I just got a brand new set of 18x9 cobra r's for my 87. I'm pretty close to positive that the offset is 4 1/4 so if they fit my car they will fit your car. (Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure mine are that size.)

You're thinking of bolt pattern.

Stock offset on '87 Snowflakes was +31.8mm.  Anything +18mm and over should be fine, but I wouldn't go under.

Yeah, you are right. I am thinking of the bolt pattern. Now that you mention the +18, I am pretty sure mine are +24. We had to check into them actually fitting my car too, I remember. So, I KNOW they are 4 1/4 (LOL) and pretty close to positve the offset is +24. Not sure what size my tires are though, I just had them ordered to fit my car/rims, my dad took care of that.
