Title: C6 in a '94?
Post by: Thunder Chicken on April 19, 2006, 11:05:23 PM
...A '94 E350 van, that is. The one my brother is giving me has a 351w/3-speed auto. I didn't look realy close, but I know it's no C4 or C5. Did Ford use C6's as late as '94? And if so, how rare is a small-block bellhousing C6? I know it will need rebuilding (one of the reasons he's giving me the van is the slipping tranny) and I've no intention of installing it into the 'Bird (I want my OD), but would the tranny be worth hanging on to?

All I know is that my 351W came out of an '87 Econoline, and it was backed by a C6. Said C6 is still sitting in the back of my friend's carport. Not sure about anything newer than that. Don't know about rare, but I'd say they're not too rare if even I have access to one. :p

You may know thunderbirds but you sure as hell don't know forum etiquette.
