are pressed on, ah yeay or neigh? i was going to go ahead and PC the spindles figuring i could just take the hubs off. i took the dust seal off and it looks to me like they are pressed on the spindle. the spindle has a dimple on the end of it for a puller. the nut isnt a castle nut like i expected. they are good so id rather not wreck them just to PC a part nobody is ever gonna see.
They use a sealed bearing...
Undo the nut and they come off. You will need to get a new nut though as they are not reusable....
thanks Chuck..! i was thinking they were maybe torque to yeild or something. will i need a puller to get them off or should they "pop" right off?
IIRC the bearing is a slip-fit over the spindle snout. At the worst you might need a puller to help it along.
I also don't remember if one side is reverse threaded or not, so look closely at the threads before you go honking on it.
Reinstallation torque is pretty high too....so be mindful of that as well.
